Market Research Services

Since 1981, FMR Associates has provided "full service" market research services to more than 600 media, marketing and consumer clients in southern Arizona, across the country and internationally - serving radio and television stations, cable companies, music syndicators, advertising agencies, consumer companies, retail businesses, governmental agencies, academic institutions, healthcare providers, financial institutions and a wide range of media and marketing consultants. Contact us and we'll be happy to provide the most current, relevant references.

All FMR projects are conducted by research professionals on a confidential basis from goal-definition to the final report presentation. Whether it's a full-service project, fielding, recruiting or data processing assistance, contact us for a bid on your next project.

Telephone Interviewing - Every telephone interview is executed and validated from FMR's Research Center, utilizing an automated Predictive Dialing System, with calls continually monitored by a supervisor in a specially-designed booth that includes a "silent" monitoring line. Clients, if they wish, can also "listen in" remotely as the surveys are conducted. For each study, 15% of all interviews and 100% of interviewers are validated by supervisors.

  • Perceptual/Tracking Studies - Each Tracking Study is designed to replicate previous surveys, so that changes in behaviors, awareness, attitudes and images can be measured on a direct, comparative basis over a specific period of time.

  • Behavographic® Segmentation Studies - Helps identify consumer "life-groups" in more meaningful categories than simple descriptive demographics or esoteric "psychographics," including our exclusive Consumer Activity Classification Index.

  • Market Demand/Feasibility Projects - FMR's independent and confidential skills have frequently been used to assess and define potential market opportunities, expansions or new concepts. Specific "price-point" demand levels are typically provided.

  • Executive Interviewing - Specially trained interviewers probe carefully selected executives regarding a variety of issues, including competitive awareness or imaging, new product potential/demand, anticipated actions within the business environment and more.

  • Client/Member Satisfaction Surveys - Determines level of satisfaction with services and benefits provided to client groups or members of an organization, including usage and perceived utility of key services (as well as areas of dissatisfaction), image assessment, an evaluation of key personnel and recommendations for improvement to better meet client/member needs.
Focus Groups - FMR recruits respondents with a custom-designed screening questionnaire and coordinates all functions from facilities and group moderation to report analysis and summary report production. To learn more about our focus group facility in Tucson, click here.

Direct Mail - FMR conducts all phases of direct mail research, from concept and instrument design to survey printing, postage, field coordination, data processing and full written analysis. Close quality control has resulted in high-response rate, statistically projectable studies.

Internet-Based Research - FMR designs and hosts web-based surveys, sending an e-mail link to potential respondents that asks them to log on to a secure site and complete an on-line questionnaire. Alternatively, FMR can post a link on to your website and direct respondents to the survey website. Regardless of the methodology implemented, completed surveys are securely downloaded to FMR's website for tabulation and analysis.

EARS® Videographic Studies - Introduced in 1983, the EARS® (Electronic Attitude Research System) testing approach involves "real-time" viewer-response simulation using wireless, hand-held computers. This allows respondents the opportunity to give feedback in an actual "viewing" (or listening) environment to evaluate existing or prototype material, including television or radio commercials, programs or other presentations. The ergonomically-designed EARS® technology pinpoints specific elements of marketing execution that generate either positive or negative response among the intended audience. Each study includes a full, written report and recommendations - as well as a synchronized DVD displaying the moment-to-moment reactions to the test material evaluated.

In-Person Presentations - Regardless of the type of research study implemented, an in-person PowerPoint presentation of results and recommendations is always available to clearly and succinctly summarize results and provide recommendations in an actionable format that is easy to follow. In addition to the oral review of research results and recommendations, clients receive a hard copy of PowerPoint slides and electronic copy of the entire presentation.

Data Tabulation Services - FMR offers a full-range of data tabulation services for any size project. Crosstabulation of data is presented in a form designed for ease of interpretation and use. In addition to tabular form, verbatim responses to any open-ended questions are provided.

Published Research Examples - While all FMR projects are proprietary, a number of clients have publicly posted results or summaries of the studies we have conducted. Examples of some of these published project summaries or highlights can be accessed here.
